Moat at Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is the largest religious structure in the world. Built as a funerary temple for Khmer king Suryavarman II (1113-1150), it honours the Hindu God Vishnu. Today it is a UNESCO world heritage site and an important tourist destination and economic asset for Cambodia. Shown here is the outer moat with two Buddhist monks taking a rest.
